Inauguration

The Jnana Yagnam organized by AVV commenced on 12th of August at Sujata High School, Hyderabad. The auspicious evening began by offering Purna Kumbha Swagatam to Pujya Acharya Swamiji amidst Vedic chants. Jyoti prajwalanam was followed by chanting of Sri Ganapathi Atharva Seersha Upanishad by Sreenitya and Anujaa. The namasankeertanam began as we prepared to witness the “Sri Krishna Bala Leela Prasangam” – episodes of the childhood pastimes of the Lord that occur in the 10th Canto of Srimadbhagavatam.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations

On the holy occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami on the evening of 14th August, a special celebration and puja was organised. As the discourse concluded, Panchopachara & Ashtottara puja was offered to Bala Krishna by Pujya Mataji on behalf of all devotees. Dolotsavam of the mischievous Lord who adorned the cradle followed. The venue resonated with the joy-filled bhajans. All the devotees sang and danced like children with great joy celebrating the grand occasion inviting Lord Krishna into their hearts. Maakhan and Misri (Butter and Sweet Candy) were offered to Balakrishna Bhagavan that was later partaken as prasadam by the devotees.
Pujya Swamiji avers that we should celebrate the Lord’s birthday as He descended to take this glorious form to uplift us.
The auspicious evening concluded with Aarati and bhog prasadam that was partaken by the devotees.

Discourse

Enlightening on the great scripture Srimadbhagavatam, Pujya Swamiji mentioned that Bhagavata is the Scripture of Love that guides us to progress from Loving God as the Means, to Loving Him as a Goal and then to the Vision of Loving God unconditionally.
During the 9-day discourse , Sri Pujya Swamiji unfolded in His inimitable style, the Putana Moksha Leela by presenting various perspectives from Purana, Sadhana and Vedanta. Disclosing the tatvartha behind the names of ‘Nanda’, ‘Yashoda’, ‘Vasudeva’, ‘Gokulam’ etc., Pujya Swamiji explained the need to develop satva pradhana guna to mould one’s life towards self-discovery. 
The inundation of Bhakti rasa is evident in the 16 explanations that Pujya Swamiji provided for why baby Krishna closed his eyes as Putana approached Him.

The Jnana Yagnam concluded on Sunday 20th August.

Vinayaka Chaturthi Celebrations at VYAKHYA

Ganesha Chaturthi was celebrated on the evening of 25th August at  VYAKHYA - The School of Vedanta Studies.With the sankalpa for the welfare of all the devotees around the globe, Panchopachara Puja was offered to Lord Ganapati along with Vedic chants and Ashtottara Shatanamavali. The Puja was followed by namasankeertanam as Pujya Swamiji and the disciples sang bhajans.
In commemoration of the holy festival, Pujya Swamiji explained that every Hindu is a Vaidika and should venerate the Veda by committing to follow a lifestyle as instructed by the Veda in pursuit of Purusharthas (spiritual and worldly goals). The fundamental conduct to be followed in order to lead this Vedic way of life is called Sadacharam. The Sadacharam is to be followed by everyone irrespective of their Varna, Ashrama or Gender. One cannot grow into a religious person without following Sadacharam.
The events of the evening were concluded by offering Aarati to Lord Ganapati and distributing Modaka prasadam to the devotees.
